Smart Justice Services
Smart Justice Services seeks to transform the criminal justice system by addressing the root causes of criminal behavior through innovative, evidence-based practices. Its mission is to enhance community safety, reduce recidivism, and promote rehabilitation by fostering collaboration among courts and communities.
Navigators
Navigators are key figures in Smart Justice Services, acting as the main point of contact between participants, the court, service providers, and the community. Their role includes facilitating communication, offering case management and support to participants, monitoring compliance with court orders and established goals, coordinating referrals to critical services like treatment, housing, and employment, and collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the initiative's success and drive improvements.
Smart Justice Services is currently established in six counties, with Legal Resolution Services and 10:33 Reentry Program to all counties with a 100 Families Initiative.

The initiative focuses on providing holistic support and services that empower individuals to rebuild their lives, strengthen communities, and create pathways for sustainable change. Together through these efforts, it aims to deliver equitable justice while fostering accountability, compassion, and hope.

The Incarceration: Recidivism, Reentry, and Reunification (iR3) Program
was a three-year collaboration launched by Restore Hope and the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute in 2020 to improve reentry outcomes in Arkansas. With over 100 organizations and 1,500 volunteer hours involved, iR3 streamlined the reentry process, reduced barriers for justice-involved individuals and families, and built a foundation for lasting improvements in the state’s justice system.
