𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘

When: Friday, January 31, 2025 | 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Where: Melba Theater, 115 W Main Street,

Batesville, AR 72501 - At a launch event on Friday, January 31, state officials will speak about an initiative being implemented in counties across the state to help families move from crisis to career. Arkansas leaders scheduled to attend the event include:

-Department of Human Services Secretary Kristi Putnam

-Division of Children and Family Services Director Tiffany Wright

-Jamie Rayford, COO, Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce

-Cassie Black, Area 8+ Coordinator for Connected Families with Arkansas Baptist Children and Family Ministries

The event is the official launch of the 100 Families Initiative in Independence County. The initiative is currently in 19 counties in Arkansas and has already expanded to parts of Michigan and Canada.

The 100 Families Initiative is based on a collective impact model that recognizes no single organization can help families in crisis with all of their needs, like employment, healthcare, housing, financial stability, education, and access to transportation and childcare. The initiative includes a collaborative case management system called the HopeHub software, which was developed by the nonprofit Restore Hope.

“When a person in crisis participates in the initiative, they are entered into the system, their needs are identified, their case is tracked, and outcomes are recorded,” said Restore Hope Executive Director Paul Chapman. “It is a data-driven, evidence-based model that is having success around the state.”

“It is changing the way we are able to serve families in crisis. The average participant has 9 service providers in their community on their care team. The goal is to empower service providers in communities to work together and wrap around families. Families get the support they need in a more streamlined, efficient manner,” said Restore Hope Associate Director of Community Development Karen Phillips.

In 2024, 3,314 Arkansas families were served and 706 people met the criteria for moving from crisis to career. Further data on the initiative can be accessed at:
